Description
This parasol is easily erected via a crank handle and a quick release pin which allows you to angle your parasol to project a shadow over your chosen area and hold it in place quickly and easily. You can also rotate this parasol 360 degrees simply press on the foot pedal to rotate.
The 230g polyester canopy offers plenty of sun protection as it has a UV rating of 50+. Additionally, it has a colour fastness level of 5/6 which means the colour is extremely protected against fading or discolouration.
The parasol can be fully closed, with the aid of straps, and easily stored away if necessary. We always recommend that the parasol remains closed when not in use and is always kept closed in extreme windy conditions.
This parasol does come with a handy cover included, the cover is PVC backed and incredibly weatherproof and can be easily attached to the parasol via the rod attachment.

Parasol Base
We recommend the parasol should be used with a suitable base, weighing at least 80kg. If you do not have an existing base, you can purchase the Genesis with a choice of either a square slab base, a square base with wheels or a stone fillable base.
Square Slab Base
The slab base consists of a pack of 4 square slabs which should be filled with both sand and water to offer enough weight to correctly support the cantilever parasol. When each slab is filled with sand and water, they will weigh approximately 20kg per slab – 80kg in total. We recommend using kiln-dried sand and then saturating with water for an easier and cleaner fill-up process.
Square base with wheels
This base should be filled with both sand and water to offer enough weight to correctly support the cantilever parasol. When filled with sand and water, the base will weigh over 100kg, which is why it is a base on wheels which allows you to move the base much more easily. We recommend using kiln-dried sand and then saturating with water for an easier and cleaner fill-up process
Stone Fillable Base
The stone fillable metal base can be filled with your chosen stone (not included) to create a stylish and decorative aspect to your garden. You could also fill with other items like slate or pebbles based on the look you prefer. Without filling this parasol base will weigh 26kg. When filled, the weight of the base will vary depending on your chosen material, but when filled with large stones or pebbles the base will weigh around 100kg. This base comes with built in lockable wheels
Please note The stones are not supplied, but can be purchased from a local builders merchant or DIY store.
